Let's get right to work, shall we?
The next popular form of advertising we will discuss is:
Banner Advertising.
Banner advertising is the process of putting your banner (a graphical box that advertises your site) on other people’s site in order to make money from their traffic.
Simply put, the prospect goes to a site where you've placed your banner. They click on it, and in turn they wind up on your site.
This used to be a very popular form of advertising, a few years ago. While I have some banner adds out on the web. It's not generally recommended for you to place Banner Ads when starting out. Since your advertising dollars can be spent elsewhere with greater results.
Marketing with Ezine Articles.
As you know Ezines are popular. There's thousands of them and new ones being added every day. Most ezine publishers do not write their own articles. This presents you a gold mine of advertising opportunities.
To take advantage of this opportunity, you would write an informative article. At the bottom of the article you would include a resource box (link to your product or web site). Publisher would publish the article in their ezine. Write helpful, likeable articles, people read, people like, people click to site.
If you are interested in writing articles or ebooks, you might check out Info Product Profits .
Viral Marketing.
Viral Marketing is giving away a product with the intention that others will give it away,as well.
Example: You check out Info Product Profits or a similar product. You write an article, report,or ebook, following the steps outlined for you. Now you give the product to others with the intent of them offering the product as a free giveaway on their sites. All of the links to products and sites (resources) used in the book are for your sites. Equals MAJOR PROFITS!
By now you should see that when it comes to advertising and pulling traffic to your sites; approach with an open mind and a vivid imagination.
We will continue with other advertising techniques in our next post.
Learn the Right Moves.....Together.

You've Picked a Target Market and Product...Now What?
Now that you know your market and have one or more products selected to promote, it’s time to look at your options for online advertising. Before you spend your hard earned money; you need to understand some basics.
1. Free advertising seldom works.
2. Use tried and tested methods in the beginning, Oh, did I mention free advertising seldom works?
3. Do not advertise to sell the product. Advertise to sell the click to the site.
Here is a brief overview of advertising method's that have been tried and tested and work very well.
A. PPC Pay Per Click
Pay Per Click advertising is where you pay a search engine to display your ad whenever someone searches on a keyword on which you have bid. You get charged everytime someone clicks the ad, not everytime the ad is displayed.
There are many search engines that sell PPC advertising the largest is Google Adwords.
The keys to success with PPC are:
1. Choose keywords carefully (using the same methods you used for picking a productor target market. A handy tool for this is WordTracker .
2. Control how much you bid for each keyword.
3. Control your overall budget.
4. Monitor the success or failure of your program every day.
Training that I have found very beneficial is Pay Per Click Domination by Mike Dillard.
B. Ezine Advertising
An ezine is basically a newsletter that is delivered, via email, to a list of people that have subscribed to that particular newsletter. There are thousands of newsletters, on the web, covering any topic you can think of.
I am sold on ezine advertising because you can know in advance that your ad is being read by people that are interested in your products. When you match your product to their interest, you have the making of a booming business.
Give both of these methods consideration as you decide where to spend your advertising dollar.
As always, contact me with any questions.

Are You A Victim of N.B.T. Syndrome? Here's How To Find Out, And What To Do...
It's about 9:49 PM Tuesday 4-7-2009 and I'm outside saying goodbye to friends we've been hangin' with the last couple of hours, when I'm interrupted by yet ANOTHER "NBT" email that pops into my in-box...
That probably puts the count at around 15 since this morning.
What's N.T.B?"
Ahhh yes... It stands for the "Next Big Thing".
And it's a DISEASE that infects all networkers until they join at least 5 opportunities and never make any money.
Fortunately, it starts to dissipate at that time for some, but will continue to cripple the minds of many for the remainder of their career, killing their chance of ever seeing success.
Today, I hope to immunize you from this disease once and for all...
Understand this, and you will be cured:
This industry will not save you.
Your company will not save you.
Your comp plan will not save you. There is no such thing as a "Turn Key" system you can buy that will make you rich.
There are thousands of companies that "are growing faster than Microsoft!" (Not just yours...)
It doesn't matter if you think you have the greatest product in the world unless you plan on buying $50,000 or more of it per month yourself... (All that matters is what YOUR CUSTOMERS think about it).
You are being sold by expert marketers, (the company leadership), because they know they must truly MOVE your emotions just to get the average Joe to sponsor 2 customers or builders.
Wake up...
This is m-a-r-k-e-t-i-n-g, and YOU are the product of your company.
So here's the deal...
Lose the emotions. Lose the lottery dreams of The Next Big Thing. This is a BIZ-NESS where only the fittest, (and smartest), survive and thrive.
This is about smart marketing, promotion, and follow up.
Lose the emotion. Get off the roller coaster.
Why? What's the big benefit?
Simple... It allows you to RELAX and focus on the one thing that WILL make a difference in your success without distraction: YOU! It allows you to make decisions based on the right business reasons like market demand.
Do you even know the market demand for your company’s product? Is there a demand for it or has your company created the illusion or promise of demand to keep you starry eyed?
Here's my point...
There are no free rides, and any "easy/lucky" rides usually don't last long. The irony is that anyone who makes money as an entrepreneur treats their business like a JOB.
Ha!
Now they may give themselves ALOT of perks and have a sweet 10 second commute, but they still work as much, IF NOT MORE, than anyone in the "real world".
Trust me... The price that must be paid to enjoy these perks is very high.
On the flip side, the average networker treats this industry like a weekend stint in front of a Vegas craps table, and as usual, always leaves with empty pockets in the end.
And as they pass by the calling neon signs of the another casino promising the next big jack-pot, they latch on to their sales pitch and hitch their dreams to it, only to be a victim of their own refusal to "wake up", once again.
Use this knowledge to professionalize your business and discipline your work ethic, and you will start to see results quickly.
STOP looking for the next big thing. Stop paying attention to competing ads.
The grass is NOT greener. If you're not getting the results you want out of your business today, it's not the company's fault, it's yours.
And just heading over to another company isn't going to change that. You're still going to face the same problems there.
Until you learn how to:
1: Build a list. (Target Market)
2. Pick a Product
3. Build a relationship with the people on that list (Target Market), Market to that list.
You will NEVER get the results you want, no matter how many companies you join.
If you want to learn how to do this, and have success in ANY company from that point forward, I'll show you exactly how to do it....., Pick a Target Marget, Pick a Product, Market to your Target Market. BASICS
Start with Magnetic Sponsoring which will expose you to the attraction marketing strategy that changed an entire industry.
Once you understand that strategy, pick up a copy of Traffic Formula which is Mike Dillards entire business blueprint in step-by-step detail.
If you don't make the money you want to make using Mike's strategies, you don't pay. Mike offers a money back guarantee.
It's that simple.
You can be very successful in this industry. We are here to help.

The Deadly Attack of MLM
Network Marketing or MLM as it is commonly called; is a term that can strike fear into the heart of many a strong man or woman. It can make your knees buckle, grown men tremble in fear and women faint. Rather amusing isn't it?
Just ask my neighbor. We had a conversation when he came to pick up his son, whom we were watching. You know the kind, What kind of business are you in, Cal?...Well I'm currently partners with my son-in-law in XXXX Business.... XYZ Business....and we are distributors in CCCCC. Whoa! Deer in the headlights look....hurriedly packing up his sons stuff....What kind of business are you in, NAMELESS? Oh, I own one of the largest landscape companies in the area.....And how do you have your marketing set up? How did you build your business so large? That is quite an accomplishment.....We started off really small; but satisfied customers have spread the word and it's really took off...That's really nice of your customers to do that, I'm sure you provide an excellent service...Well, yes we do....We give our customers a discount and a free service for each person that they get to signup for our services......OH, SO MLM SEEMS TO WORK PRETTY WELL FOR YOU.....WowI never thought of it like that.
I relay this story to you, not to convince you to join an MLM; but so that you keep an open mind while looking for a product or service that you can market to your target group. Don't let rumors keep you from possibly discovering a perfect fit.
As you search for your product keep in mind that everyone is not meant to be an Affiliate Marketer, Develop your own product; or become a distributor in an MLM. Then again, you might find a combination of these will be the perfect fit.
In the next few days we will explore how to market you, and your business (or product).

Find What People Want/ Buying Resale Rights
What do you mean buying resale rights?
If you find a product you really like, you can approach the manufacturer about purchasing options. Some manufacturers will enter into an agreement giving you the exclusive right to sell. At that point you would become the exclusive distributor. This usually cost a small fortune in guarantees to the manufacturer.
Now for the good news!
Many products are offered with resale rights. You can find many examples in information products. Some products offer resale rights when you go to pay for your purchase. There is an extra charge added. The charge varies from product to product.
If you choose a very nice product; that fills the need of your target market. Selling resale rights products can be extremely profitable.
Tip: Research, Research, Research, did I say Research? Yes! Look to see if the product is on it's way out? If it's currently being sold elsewhere?
If Buying Resale Rights seems to be a good fit for you; drop me a line anytime with questions that might arise.
Till tomorrow, when we discuss MLM.

Find What People Want : Develop Own Product, Buy Wholesale Sell Retail
Let's jump right in.
You can service your target market by developing your own product. Whoa! Hold on Cal, that sounds like a lot of work.
It could be easier than you think.
You have done research to determine your target market; have started searching for products that are in demand within your target market. Now ask yourself, do I possess knowledge the market wants? Could I develop software that would help the target market accomplish a goal? Do I have a hobby or skill that produces a product this target market would be
interested in?
Example: A woman I know makes beautiful jewelry. She has began to market her jewelry online in the same way you would market an affiliate product. In three months time, her income from sales has reached over $3,000 per month. Not bad for promoting an item online that she thoroughly enjoys produceing.
If you are interested in developing your own product, start thinking outside the box.
Buying Wholesale and Selling Retail
The practice of buying products wholesale and selling retail has been a standard practice for years. Both offline and online businesses use this method. Basically you would locate the manufacture of a product that would service your target market. Negotiate the lowest price; market the product at a higher price to your customers. Sounds simple and the process can be simple.
This practice is not highly recommended to new online marketers. The number one reason is, it takes a lot of capitol. The general consensus is; when getting started why not play with someone else's money.
Tomorrow we will discuss, Buying Resale Rights.

Find What People Want/ Through Affiliate Networks.
Just thought we would finish up on Affiliate Networks.
In yesterdays post, I closed with sending you to Commision Junction to research products with Affiliate programs in place. Hopefully you had a chance to check the program out. If you have any specific questions I will be happy to address them. When you ran a search on Google for "Affiliate Networks" you noticed a list of many to choose from.
Today we will discuss The Clickbank Marketplace .
The Clickbank Marketplace is another highly recommended Affiliate Network.
One of the features I like about Clickbank is their list of affiliate programs is not only broken down by category; but listed in order of popularity. They track number of sales and structure their list accordingly.
Let's go over the simple process of locating an affiliate program on Clickbank.
1. go to: The Clickbank Marketplace.
2. click on a category that interest you.
3. you will see list of sub-categories and list of products in order of performance
4. refine your search, click on a sub-category,
that list of products is listed in order of performance.
This is a simple process that can be mastered, easily.
I use an easy to use tool that refines my searches eve further on Clickbank. This tool allows you to perform keyword searches, which gives you a huge advantage in your search for products, affiliate programs. Affiliates Alert is a handy tool to have and you can get a free download.
We will continue Find What People Want...And Give It To Them , with another
form of product selection tomorrow.

Find What People Want...And Give It To Them
After receiving several emails, I feel it would be beneficial to present you with more information on Step 1 in the 3-31-2009 post.
Most of you understand the basics of identifying your target market through keywords, trends, sspecial interest groups, etc. I would like to offer one reminder. Think outside the box!
After listening to your questions, there seems to be one common thread. "How do I know this product will move? Short and sweet, You don't; but through the use of some simple research tools you can be very successful.
So let's back up for a moment or two and find a kickin' product to promote.
I had a Prof in my marketing class that had a favorite saying. When setting up our project businesses, he would always say. "Find what the people want and give it to 'em." So how do we do that?
First we need to understand that there are three main, well maybe four main ways to take a product to market.
1. Develop product of your own
A. buy the resell rights to a product
2. Become an Affiliate marketer
3. Buy wholesale/ Sell retail
4. MLM
The process for finding a product is very similar to find your target market. A couple quick examples would be:
1. If you perform keyword searches in Wordtracker or Good Keywords , you can identify products people are looking for.
2. If you have identified a special interest group, you can identify product usage that is common to that group.
Since most of you expressed that you would like to, "get up and running quickly",and you need to stay within budgets. We will discuss Affiliate Marketing first.
Briefly an affiliate gets paid commission each time he/ she refer a lead to a company and that referral completes a transaction with that particular company.
That's great! Wait a minute. How do we find a company that we can be an affiliate for?
Don't panic! Thousands on top of thousands of companies use Affiliate Marketers to promote their products. and pay some very nice commissions.
As I said earlier, "Think outside the box". Just about any product you use, or think of, offers an affiliate program.
The quickest way to get a list of, what we call, "Affiliate Networks", is to go to Google. Type in "affiliate networks" in the search box and you will get a list of companies that handle affiliates for thousands of companies. Some of these companies charge for signing up. I would recommend signing up for a free one when just starting out.
I use more than one "affiliate network". To start with you might try Commision Junction . They have a nice list of affiliate programs, with many categories. After you log in, click on,
Get Links tab and check out the list of affiliate programs.
In our next post we will have further discussion on Affiliate Marketing.
